Description
"The Pillars of the Earth" by TL Mair
The golden color of the setting sun reflect on the calm waters of Jackson Lake near Yellowstone national park, the cool blue of the sky slowly turns to purple, then to gold, as this stone cairn stands as a sentinel against the coming night, the pillars of the bridge frame Mount Moran in the distant Teton mountain range.
You can almost hear the echo of the calling geese that roost along the shore of the lake as the evening light begins to fade into darkness.
This little stone cairn stood only one foot tall here along the lake, but a low camera angle and a moderate wide angle lens make it look 10 feet tall.
What a beautiful lake!!

Very beautiful. A book by Ken follett also has this title and it is one of my favorite,so when i saw your picture I really appreciated it! Was it part of the inspiration? Beautiful.
TL Mair replied:
Thank you Lori!! I have never read the book, but I did watch a mini series about it, loved the story, my family is English/Scottish, we have a line that goes back to Steven.
