Two Bighorn sheep take a break and feed along the valley near Miller Butte.
These Old warriors have broken horn tips from years of fighting with younger rams, hoping to influence next years herd by passing along their genes to the next generation.
The soft light plays on the rings of horn growth on these Bighorn sheep as they graze on the new tender grass that is beginning to grow after a long winter's sleep.
