As evening comes to Big Rock Candy Mountain, in south central Utah, the setting sun reflects just a hint of pink, red, and purple on the clouds as they begin to gather over this beautiful mountain.
Big Rock Candy Mountain rises from the valley floor along the sevier river, standing stark against the brown, sagebrush, and pine covered mountains, this yellow "rock" tells a story of vulcanic activity centuries old.
As Highway 89 winds it's way through Marysvale canyon, as you come around one of it's many turns you are met with this beautiful sight of yellow and green.
From the little village of Big Rock Candy Mountain you can access the Piute trail system, the system has hundreds of dirt roads, and trails, just waiting for you to come visit, and get lost in it's beauty, but just in it's beauty, don't get lost in the back country!
